Last February 14, Mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, on behalf of Mayors for Peace, released a Joint Appeal warning about Russia’s threats of using nuclear weapons and demanding a swift end to this war by building mutual trust through dialogue.

Mayor Matsui and Mayor Taue visited the embassies of G7 member states in Japan and handed the Appeal to the representatives in person. This Appeal has been sent to UN Member States and the UN Secretary-General, too.
